Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for the Professional Management Information System

The Professional Management Information System is designed to support the identification, registration, management, and development of ICT Professionals in the country. By accessing this System, all users agree to comply with and are bound by the following terms and conditions.

1.0 Definitions

Commission
Means the Information and Communication Technologies Commission established by a Presidential decree in 2015 with mandates among others to identify and develop the ICT human capital in the country.

System
Means the Professional Management Information System developed and managed by the ICT Commission.

Support
Means system users responsible to provide support to users of the system.

User
Means the ICT professional who registers or uses the system.

2.0 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, registering, or using the system, all users confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.

3.0 Eligibility

All users shall have graduated from tertiary institutions at any level from certificate, diploma, bachelor, or post-graduates. Users shall provide correct personal and professional details, including qualifications, certifications, and employment history. The Commission reserve the right to verify the submitted information and reject or suspend the applications upon verifying that the details provided are false or misleading.

4.0 User Responsibilities

All users shall -

  • Maintain an updated profiles providing the latest personal and professional details;
  • Upload accurate documents (certificates, credentials and qualifications) during applications;
  • Comply with the Professional Code of Conduct and Ethics as provided by the Commission;
  • Pay timely the relevant fees (application fees, registration fees, license fees, stamp fees and annual fees);
  • Submit timely the annual returns and log-books for the activities undertaken during the period;
  • Register or declare projects that are engaged during the period;

5.0 Data Collection and Privacy

The collection of data shall be governed as follows -

  • The Commission shall collect and process personal and professional data for the purpose of registration, and professional development;
  • The collected data shall be processed in accordance with the requirement of the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022;

6.0 Intellectual Property

The intellectual property shall be governed as follows -

  • All content, features, and software within the System shall remain the exclusive property of the Commission;
  • Users shall not copy, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the System without written permission of the Commission;
  • Users shall retain ownership of all professional data uploaded to the system. The Commission shall have a limited access to the uploaded data for management purposes only;

7.0 System Access and Availability

  • All users shall have a continuous access to the system;
  • The Commission shall notify all users on planned upgrades, maintenance or technical issues that may lead to service disruptions;
  • The Commission shall not be liable for any loss resulting from downtime, delays, or technical failures of the system;

8.0 Suspension and Termination

The Commission may suspend or terminate access to the system without prior notice if-

  • False or fraudulent information is provided;
  • The User violates the terms and conditions provided in this document;
  • The System is used for illegal, abusive, or unauthorized purposes;

9.0 Amendments

The Commission may revise these terms and conditions from time to time. Users shall be notified of the changes, and requirement thereof for the continued use of the system following the changes made.

10. Governing Law

The terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
